collateral, signage, and exhibitions. In 2012, she launched an independent design practice focused on collaborations with clients in the publishing, educational, and cultural sectors. Previously, Yve was an Associate Partner at Pentagram Design, where she worked closely with Michael Bierut. Before joining Pentagram, Yve worked as a graphic designer at Yale University in the Office of the University Printer, Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, and Parsons School of Design. Giambattista Piranesi (1720–78) is remembered mostly for his etchings, but art historians Carolyn Yerkes and Heather Hyde Minor make a strong—and charmingly wonkish—case that his true medium was the bound volume.
